Also remember it's recommended that all homes be checked for radon every 2 years as environmental conditions can cause radon levels to change with time.

There are three main types of mitigation systems the most common type is a sub-slab suction system, the second is a sub-membrane suction used to mitigate crawlspace areas. Some times theses systems are combined to treat homes with combination foundations and they are referred to as a combination system. The third type system is a heat recovery ventilation system or (HRV) system used for very specialized radon issues. The design of a system should be based on the most effective system to lower the radon levels as much as possible. The appearance of the system should also be taken into consideration and in most cases the system can be installed in a fashion that does not affect the appearance of the home or the way a person uses the home.
